Appraisal is an alternate dispute resolution clause of your insurance policy. If you or the insurance company disagree with what is damaged and how much should be paid on your claim, either you or the insurance company can demand appraisal. Appraisal is binding and neither party is allowed to represent themselves. Who you choose to represent you in this proceeding is extremely important.
